David Malitz, MD
Dr. David Malitz is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with a special focus on premium cataract surgery with vision correcting lens implants (toric, technis, restor, multifocal, and accomodating crystalens). He specializes in small incision cataract surgery, including toric and multifocal intraocular lenses and limbal relaxing incisions. He also addresses pterygium, eyelid reconstruction, tearing problems, heavy eye lids and double vision. His undergraduate degree was from the University of Michigan and completed medical school at UCLA, Los Angeles. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles and his residency at the University of Illinois Eye Center in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Malitz chose Ophthalmology as his career to improve the quality of lives of others with compassion. He has given talks at community groups in Terre Haute. He is a member of several societies including American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. In his spare time he enjoys golf, technology, and traveling with his wife, Michele and 3 children Natalie, Erica and Marc.
